2015 StaRN program anyone?

I have recently accepted a position into the StaRN program through parallon to begin July 2015. Any of my fellow new grads starting this program as well! I'm in Florida! Would love to connect before the program starts

I would love to say yes, but we have quite a few people in our program, so I'm unsure. We do a rotation between IRSC & at FAU in 45th St. Monday - Friday.

My name is Belly. I have not yet got the pleasure of introducing myself to a Britt or Brittany, unless that is not your real name...

Hi! Just wanted some opinions on the program. I was offered a spot but haven't had to sign a commitment letter yet and it doesn't start until next month. I just want to know how you all like the program? I have an interview at another hospital this week and I'm trying to decide which direction to go in if I get an offer there too. Thanks!

How do you guys like the program so far? I was contemplating applying.

How are things going since you started the program? Which hospital are you working in? I have been contacted by 2 recruiters for the StaRN program in Florida as well, but I have a lot of questions and concerns as far as the training period and pay. One recruiter explained that you are paid 15$/hr for the first 13 weeks of training. I was disappointed to hear that since I'm not sure I could afford to move and rent an apartment at this pay rate. I don't even know if any place would let me sign a lease if I'm only making 15$/hr. Are you guaranteed a position once you successfully complete the program? It sounds like a great program don't get me wrong, but I don't want to end up homeless and broke if I move down there by myself!

I'm a new grad and will be starting in the Progressive Care Unit at Lawnwood after completing the StaRN program. I would like a little bit of insight into the program if anyone would like to share!
