SPC Spring 2019

I've been active on a different thread for people who applied to St. Petersburg College's Nursing program starting in August 2018. I made it on the alternate list (still completing Microbiology-finals tomorrow!), but have decided, with the help of an HEC advisor, not to accept if I get offered a last minute seat based on the fact that my only options for clinicals will be whatever no one else wanted. She said I'll definitely be accepted for January and will have top choice of clinicals/instructors, so I'm happy waiting another four months to start. Who else is applying for the Spring 2019 program?

Question...For any titers we don't have done what's the best way to go about getting them done? Go to my primary care and request a script to get the ones I need done? Or go to the NUHS? And tell them I need to get titers done for the nursing program.

I would do the cheapest way. I didn't know NUHS did titers. I got mine at the Pinellas county health department and they were $5/each plus a single $10 lab draw fee. You don't need a Rx to get titers

Also, the health dept does the tb skin test for $20, but you have to go back in three weeks for a second one (I think included in the $20) to satisfy the castlebranch requirement, OR you can get a 1 time Quantiferon gold blood test for $25 and you don't have to pay a separate lad draw fee if they're already drawing blood for titers.

How long is it taking for everyone's drug test to come back ? Has anyone been registered for classes yet ? I'm guessing that won't happen until Thursday ?

I took my drug test last Friday and got the results back posted to castlebranch by Monday afternoon. I still have not been registered for classes. I am anxious to see what clinical site I get. Anyone get registered yet? I have most of the requirements done except for a few titers and my fingerprints haven't come back yet.

Also still not registered...and my fingerprints, drug test, and MLP have been complete since Tuesday. Also just waiting on two titers. I hope we get lucky and find out before Thursday!!!

I hope we find out before Thursday too...I keep checking my email to see if it's been posted yet. I sent you an email!

Who else has St. Anthony's days at the top of the list?

In MySPC, check to see if your tuition has been posted. If so, scroll down to My Schedule and arrow down to Jan. 14th and that will show you which clinical site you got. Tuition must be posted first though (amount due).

I have St.Anthonys on the top on my list!! Fingers crossed. My MMR and Varicella titers came back not immune so I just had the vaccinations done today. Still waiting on the TB titer.

I requested VA anyone else desiring to go there ?

I requested VA too.
