SPC Nursing Program Spring 2017

This really sucks!

Alternate #18 with a 4.0 and everything complete besides micro and lab. Right when we thought the waiting was over.... lol. Good luck to all!

I read on the thread from last spring that someone got in at alternative 25. So my fingers are still crossed!

I was under the impression this is their last one. Their website says beginning fall 2017.

I think that means there is no spring admission. There is also no thread here about usf spring 2017

Hey guys! I'm the one who ended up getting in as alternate #25 in 2014. I got the acceptance email November 20, even though they said it would be Nov 21. If you guys have any questions about orientation or anything else about the process, feel free to message me or ask on this thread. SPC is pretty commonly known to the students as being vague and everyone sort of runs around like chickens with their heads cut off for the entirety of the program.

Hi Ashtinp, I'm just curious about getting the schedule I want and being able to choose where I'd like to do my clinicals. Did you have a choice? Were you able to pick the schedule/clinical site you wanted or were you just thrown in wherever was available? I understand the schedule/clinical selections are offered first to the top students in order of acceptance - this is based upon what an adviser told me. I'd like to be able to choose how I flow through nursing school and as an alternate #18 I'm worried my selections will be limited, assuming I'm given a spot in the first place.

Thank you! :) Your last sentence made me laugh...although I'm sure that really sucks if nobody knows what's going on. What should we pay special attention to in regard to this? Are you otherwise happy?

I'm also worried about not getting the hospital choice I'd like. Are you in the day or night program? What hospital did you pick?

I would hate to go to the Bay Pines VA because that's so far away so I'd like to get one of the other two...
