SPC Fall 2019

Hey, everyone! I've been looking for a thread about fall applications for SPC Nursing program, but nothing yet! It may be early, since the application period just started on March 1st, but here we go! I applied as soon as it opened , and I'm crossing my fingers until the July 1st. Anyone else applied or planning to do it soon? Let me know your thoughts and plans, we are all together in this one ? .

We just finished the workshop around noon today, they said to come 20min before your class is suppose to start on Monday and check the board and see which room we have the class at. Basically, we need to do this before each class since they will switch the rooms for lectures and labs.

The board is supposedly on the second floor, btw, as well as the rooms are

No school on Mondays?

Just got the email.

I'm SO happy about it!

Woop Woop!

Hey! Got a quick question I was hoping someone could answer, so now we dont have anything on Mondays right?

On Tuesday/Wednesday, my schedule says my clinical site (Bay Pines) 6:00am-3:00pm, but I know we aren’t going there for a while, right? So do we just go to the school at 6:00am or is it a different schedule? Hope that’s not too confusing and thanks in advance!

Nevermind! Should have checked MyCourses ?

Heads up, a little birdie told me that there will be a dosage calculation quiz the first few days of class. And a quiz on the first six to eight chapters of the fundamentals book. I'm sure the professor will teach dosages and give us a PowerPoint review of the chapters but it's good to have a heads up on what to expect the first week of class. This will give us something to do over the next couple weeks besides memorizing the handbook.

There will not be a dosage quiz until like the 3rd or 4th week, until they are done explaining and reviewing that package. 25 questions and u gotta get at least 20 to pass. Pretty simple stuff, coming from somebody that hates math ?. I wouldnt worry

The school opens up at 7am even though it says 6, they should have said it in orientation to. When you go out to clinicals you will have to be there like around 6:30am like if you were at a job. Unless if they change everything this semester
