SPC Fall 2019

Hey, everyone! I've been looking for a thread about fall applications for SPC Nursing program, but nothing yet! It may be early, since the application period just started on March 1st, but here we go! I applied as soon as it opened , and I'm crossing my fingers until the July 1st. Anyone else applied or planning to do it soon? Let me know your thoughts and plans, we are all together in this one ? .

No not the first semester. Dr Pels is s great instructor you’ll luv the VA great facility.

Hey Soon2BMurse, quick question: Do you recommend buying new or used book packages in the bookstore? It seems like used are way cheaper but I know we need these throughout the whole school, so I was wondering if it's actually worth it to spend money on new.

I’ve bought used ones before they work fine if you purchase some where outside of bookstore at the school just make sure it’s the same edition as the one they are using have a great day

I would sincerely appreciate it if anyone who goes to the workshop on the 13th would post anything helpful they learn here! I’ll be out of town that week and unfortunately will not be able to attend given the late notice.

Totally

I’m at Bay Pines VA. Do the people doing clinicals at the VA need the NE number? I just want to double check. I did the online training for the VA, but was not sure if I needed to do more because I was told more is expected if you do clinicals at the VA. I just want to make sure I do everything I’m supposed to do.

Yes, may I have that number ?

I'm taking the 4-Hour online exam.

So much to know.

But they haven't asked for a number yet.

The VA online training has a lot of information. Do we have to know that information pretty well or is finishing the course enough and we will learn everything at clinicals? Just want to know if I should review the information again.

I just picked up my books and it's about $350 out of pocket with the $810 financial aid assistance
