Hello! I have not seen any posts for the Fall 2016 at St. Pete College yet!
Probably because it is too early.
Anyone else applying?
Stats?
I have a 3.5 Prereq GPA, and 3.7 Cumulative GPA.

Hah! I've been looking all around for a SPC Fall 2016 post, and here it is!
I currently have a 4.0, but I'm taking Micro and A&P 2 this semester (spring 2015). There are a couple of days between when final grades are submitted for spring semester and the closing of the application window for the upcoming fall nursing program, so I'll be applying in that window. My cumulative GPA is like a 3.9 something.
What are you thinking about when it comes to picking between the day program and the evening program?
I would like to do the day program. However, I am open. Glad you found it! What are you thinking?
Evening for sure. I hear that most people prefer days, so I'm hoping chances are good I end up in the evening program. I am absolutely not a morning person. It's also nice that the evening program finishes a semester early.

Hello! I am thinking of applying to the SPC fall program as well, I am relocating to the area this summer.
I am having a hard time tho understanding the "points" system and what exactly is a pre req! It's hard to get information being over an hour drive away!
Any help would be great!
Hmarieb1010, here is a link to the admissions guide: http://www.spcollege.edu/WorkArea/DownloadAsset.aspx?id=12759
If that doesn't work for you, go to Admission to Nursing A.S. Degree Program at SPC and click on "Admissions Guide"
Pretty much only Pinellas county residents get accepted to the program, but I don't know how long you have to reside in Pinellas county.
I am also an hour away. It is best to travel to SPC when you apply because it is a process to do so. However, a Pre Req is courses you must take before applying to the nursing program itself. Good luck to you!
Mel, do you live in Pinellas county though?

I applied for the fall as well, as a matter of fact there are several of my classmates that also applied. I am hoping to do the evening program too. My husband is military and his term ends here next September, so the accelerated option works best for me. I hear all kinds of horror stories about the program being soooooo hard and having to give up your social life. If anyone has any insight to the night schedule, please, please, please share. I have a 7 yr old that I home school and having a plan before fall starts would help me out immensely!
Oops my program GPA is a 3.76 not a 3.5 . Not sure where I got that from.
Uuuuuggghhh.... 44 more days til the admissions letters come out. But who's counting?
