Small Minds Only

What little things/thoughts do you do that you're fairly certain amuses you and you alone while on shift?

As the lone night nurse, I like to stack my comm clipboards for each floor according to the order of which nurse I think will be first to get report in the morning. Two nurses enter at the same time! Who will make it to the desk first?! Nurse A's brisk stride gives her a small lead but then . . . oh no! She is stopped by Housekeeper 1 for morning chitchat and Nurse B makes it to the finish line by three lengths! Two points for Gryffindor!

I've thought about giving out a candy to the winner but it might tip them off . . .

I love being a weird night shifter. We have a running gag of whoever's relief is first to arrive wins. More pranks seem to happen too. We like to send a new night shifter to the basement using the elevator. All they have to do is press the 1 button 3 times and it should work (there is no basement). The elevator is on a another unit which calls us and laughs their butts off as they deal with trying to help the new person to use the elevator to get to the basement. That gag never gets old and there has yet to be someone who doesn't fall for it.

And then folk wonder why some others have phobias about elevtors!

And then what about the person who's borderline about being on the elevator in the first place? Could give a new meaning to the term DOA!
