SKYPE: Help!

Hi anyone using skype? I an having problems trying to hear anybody or they hear me. Tried everything suggested, it's just intermittent noise not even voices. HELP!!

What happens when you do a skype test call? I've had annoying sqwarking when I've had the mike audio set too high. Works best at mid-range. Sometimes I find it works best with an additional mike/headset plugged in rather than the inbuilt mike of my laptop. Not sure if you're using laptop or desktop. Skype is the best thing ever, with me living in different cities to my parents and all my siblings, and different country to most of my friends!
