Anyone else applying this May for SJR's Fall program?? I applied for Spring 2018 and didn't get in, so this will be my 2nd time applying. I feel like my GPA isn't competitive enough, so the HESI is probably going to be the way I get in. I just did a HESI retake, and I am wondering if I should try one more time. Here are my current HESI scores:
Math: 96%
Reading Comp: 96%
Vocab: 96%
Grammar: 94%
Does anyone else feel like I should try and do one more retake?? I don't think I can keep waiting over and over again to get accepted...
Looking forward to talking to other SJR nursing program hopefuls!!

I am currently in the program. I started this pass fall. Your score looks solid to me, however with every semester it seems to become even more competitive. My average was something like 94.44. Have you asked what the lowest Hesi score they took over the last few semester? I dont know if they will say, but they used to tell you if you asked. That way you have an idea what the trend is. Good Luck! If you have any questions once you get in, I would be happy to answer.

Your scores are great! Do you mind telling me what you used to study for vocab? I plan on retaking the HESI to improve my vocab score (86) but feel like the quizlet accounts and hesi elsevier admission assessment book are not very helpful.
Honestly I didn't really study much at all for the vocabulary portion. I did get an exam prep book and read through the vocab words a few times. Sorry, that's probably not much help.
Other than using the book and apps I looked to YouTube.
The vocab/grammer videos for that channel I found very useful.

rleah, how are you doing in the program? How many time did you apply before you got into the program?
I think your scores look great! I applied for the fall program with my HESI scores. Reading Comp 94%, Grammar 95%, Vocab 94% and Math 92%. Don't they have more spots in the fall? Good luck!
I only applied once, but every round can be different depending on the applicant pool. I am doing really well so far. I can't believe I am already in the third term! Let me know if you have any more questions, I would be happy to answer.
Yes, both campuses have fall starts so double the seats than in the spring.

I applied on May 22nd. I used only my "pitiful" GPA of 3.6. I didn't take the HESI. I took classes as a dual enrollment student 13 years ago and didn't understand that those grades would effect the rest of my life. *quietly sobbing*. I went back to school in 2016 and have had a 4.0 every semester since. I hope they see that my 1 C and 2 B's out of the 9 pre-req classes were from 13 years ago and I have A's since going back to school.
I need to just not check my email until the 15th, but the anticipation........ lol.
