Single in SF Bay

Is living alone and working in the San Francisco bay area doable, financially speaking? Not just doable but comfortable?? I'm a traveler but want to settle down around here eventually, which means I'll be paying for my own housing once again. I'd be renting a 1 bedroom, probably in the East bay area, ie, Oakland, Lafayette, etc.

As a nurse, you'd be fine. I live in the East Bay, and some of the nurses at my hospital live in the Lafayette area. They make around 54$ an hout on average, and 1bd apartments there are around 1000-1400$.

I heard starting pay is around $50/hour, is this true?

In San Diego, the hospital by me is about 33-36$ starting I think.

yes, it's true.

not to hijack the thread, but which hospital in san diego is that? just curious! sharp's paying $27-28.

Scripps in La Jolla, I don't if it varies by area, but my friend in ICU told me that.

Please anyone who knows who is hiring in the Bay for a new grad?

Come on..people:redbeathe:loveya:
