Ab normal-- It can very discouraging when you don't pass the first time or the second time... but something is bringing you to do this for the 3rd time. Don't just give up. Look how far you've already came. I mean that says a lot it's self. I'm sorry your going through personal problems too. It makes it really hard to focus and retain info but I do think you should STUDY as hard as you can and if you don't pass this time. Maybe take a break for a little while until things start calming down for you. Start back up later when you feel you can focus. I go through feelings of.... anxiety of feeling emotional about this test, sad, doubting myself. I've taken the NCLEX-PN 3 times already. I failed and then go so discouraged that I didn't want to take it again.. but in the back of mind I thought about it constantly. It's been over 2 years since I've taken it last. But I have my mind made up that I am going to pass this test!!! Just think positive! ( I know easier said then done) Have faith in yourself. As you can see from this forum your not the only one who has failed this test. One lady took the test 5 times and then she finally passed. That is major encouragement. If she would have quit after the 3rd time she wouldn't be where she is now.
Just take a few deep breaths!!! If you need to cry do so.... if you need to talk feel free to pm me anytime. I know it can be frustrating believe me.
My prayers are with you during this time! I pray that this 3rd time will be your last time. But if it's not... maybe take a break until things settle down. :)
YOU CAN DO THIS!!! IF YOU FINISHED NURSING SCHOOL YOU CAN PASS THIS TEST!! IT'S A HARD TEST!! BUT YOU CAN DO IT!!!
YOU CAN DO IT::: YOU CAN DO IT :::: YOU CAN DO IT :::: YOU CAN DO IT!!!!
PS. I am taking my Boards again the 2nd week in OCT too!! Don't let anxiety take over!! You are in control!!
Hey Ab normal, here is that thread I was talking about earlier.... You really should read this... it brought tears to my eyes. It took her 6 times to pass!! She didn't give up!! Now she is an RN! :)

I am in the same boat with you. I am getting really tired of this F......g test. My life is on hold because of this, i spend so much money and books just to pass this but NO this is my 3rd time and after this, if i cant pass again, that's it..DONE. I want to change my career, maybe go back to Manila and study again..I HATE IT..Those people at the BOARD , i hope you guys are happy making this exam so hard to pass...and i hope you are all happy that you have ruin others people life...I am testing in 3 weeks..im not even going to put pressure on myself studying. If i pass good, if i fail FINE...This EXAM IS BULL...Anyways.

mind if i ask, you're from the Philippines, correct? have you taken the local boards there? in my opinion, it is best that you prepare yourself with hard practice questions and i mean Kaplan(even if it means shelling out $499 for the comprehensive review). and no matter how much you just want to bang your head after receiving your practice test scores, don't put yourself down. the more you give yourself hard questions to practice with, the easier NCLEX would be for you. i'm not a good test taker at all, and i've had low score ranges with Kaplan, but i passed the first try with 75 questions. i've also had personal problems during the span in which i was studying for the test, but i used it as my strength to nail the test! i told myself that if i pass this test, i would be doing it for "that someone" or "somebody" or my "family." and i wanted to prove to people that i can do it too!
goodluck kababayan. God bless.! you can DO IT.!

Remember though for the LPN's that train in the Philippines there are no local boards as the Philippines do not recognise the training
You know what i dont care if we dont have local board. I have my eligibility and my ATT and my exam set. I dont care if i fail 8 times. I still can take the exam and pass it. I have legal paper and i can work in the US..I dont need to worry about your comment..Sorry dude! Tell that to someone else..it doesnt affect me.
