sick of being a cna

Ive been a cna for ten years and im just so through with all the heavy lifting for little pay! I love working in the hospital but the short staffing and the strenous assignments almost have me 2nd guessing nursing school! I got hired at a local hospital (we just moved 2 a new state) and now Im wishing I would of waited! I dont have 2 work right now because my hubby has 2 incomes. I thought working now would give me a foot in the door for when I graduate nursing school, Since atheres all this talk about not getting hired as a new grad!! But dont you think ten years as a CNA is enough of I just sit out while I got to school? What should i do?? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You've practiced as a CNA for 10 years, I think that's a great amount of time! If you're not needing to work right now, go ahead and save yourself the stress your CNA job is causing you and focus 100% on nursing school while you have the chance! This is a great opportunity to get all of those stubborn pre-reqs out of the way. If I were you and truly despised my job at this point, I'd resign and enroll in nursing school the first chance I got. Whatever choice you decide, I wish you the best of luck! :)

You are very welcome! That is great that you've already started on them! :D Best of luck with your journey through nursing school. Being able to put all of your hard work and focus on it is a blessing! :yelclap:
