I am a director of nursing in a 35 bed assisted living facility. When I was hired I was an LPN, but had graduated with my ADN, and was waiting to take RN boards.
I was told by two different adminstors that when passed RN boards, I would get a raise. When I passed boards I was told, I would not get a raise, because I did not have a change in positions.I am currently making the same amount as another LPN on the floor, she does not have to take call and does not have half the responsibilities I do.
My question is should I quit, ask for a raise, what do I do????

Ask for a raise. It sounds like you're being taken advantage of.
You obviously didn't go through the trouble of getting your RN to keep an LPN position, so you might have to be willing to quit and find something better.
Good luck.

DEFINITELY speak up for yourself and GO AFTER what you KNOW you deserve!!! I'd go to http://www.Salary.com and take the salary range for LTC in with you!
GOOD LUCK!!!!

Yup, I would say something. If they don't want to do it, there are plenty of other places that would love to have you. Good luck.
