Sharp New Grad Program Summer 2019

Hi all, just wanted to start at thread for all those applying to to Sharp Healthcare's summer new grad program for Grossmont, Memorial, and CV!

The application is supposed to open up tomorrow (2/18) at noon and I would love if all of us who are applying can keep each other updated ?

I'll be applying tomorrow also! I wonder if they will keep the app up until the 25th or if they close early with high volume...

Also, all I've seen for required documents is a resumé. Wonder if we can upload letters of rec... I hope so! Good luck everyone (: and thanks for starting the thread

Hello all! I submitted my app around 11pm the day it opened. Not internal. I have 6 months RN experience as a step-down nurse in LA. I will you all the best of luck.

Hi everyone! I’m internal and going to be applying in the MICU at Grosssmont. What about you guys? Also, I went to their new grad forum and they leave the application up the whole time, they do not cap the number of applications ?

Hi all, I would like to apply to ICU, SICU, and ED but I do not have 90 hours of clinical hours that the application asks for. However, I have 5 years of ED technician experience. How strict is sharp on this requirement? Should I not even bother applying to ICU? Thank you!

Hi All! I applied yesterday as well. I'm shooting for med-surg at Memorial or ortho at Grossmont. I graduated in December and will be taking the NCLEX this Thursday. I'm external with no prior medical experience. I know my chances are slim, but I plan to stay optimistic. Good luck to you all!

Really random question,

But does anyone know, since Grossmont's programs start in October and Memorial's program starts in August, how it'll affect them choosing new grads that graduate in May? I feel like Scripps kind of weeded out people who didn't have their license yet, even for their August start date.

Just wanted to see if anyone knew anything about this? thanks in advance ?

I applied to the ED and ICU as my secondary, at memorial. Not internal so we shall see what happens. I looked through old boards and it seemed like they did not hear anything for about a month after they started applying, so only 3 more weeks of torture hopefully!

Does anyone know if the interviews are in person or if there is an option to do it on Skype or something. I live in Georgia and already heading to nor cal at the end of May for a wedding so hopefully don't have to fly out there twice. (not that I wouldn't enjoy it though)
