Shadow shifting?

Published

has one heard aabout this for CNAs? i got a job interview at a home with 8 residents in it but before you get the job, you have to shadow shift. Another CNA evaluates you and writes down how well you perform your duties and follow instructions and at the end, they determine whether you move on to the next day or not. you are paid for your time but you have to do 5 shadow shifts before they even consider you for the job. the first dat is 6 hours, the rest of the days are 12 hour shifts. i start tomorrow but I wanted to seeif anyine else here has ever heard of this??

I've never heard of it.. Interesting concept though..

I have never heard of this either, but I wanted to wish you good luck and I hope you do well and get the job.

I did it and I was an experienced CNA. They make all cna's come in and go around with a cna on their run. If your a newbie that CNA Hooooopefuuuully teaches you what to look out for on your run and how to do your job. Its basically like orientation but on the floor, its great because you don't count as a cna so they have "extra" person on the floor. If that cna is willing to share you, you can help others out and make their job easier, then everybody likes you, yay. Its a new thing now, depending on the facility.
