Hey everyone, good luck on admissions. I am a second semester SDSU SON student, so I understand the anxiety. Remember at this point, no news is good news!

Can you give us some feedback on the SDSU Nursing program? :)

hi! i'm also waiting to hear back from SDSU. my status is still pending & 2 of my friends have already been denied no idea when im suppose to hear from them..

anxiety is killing me!

Do you mind sharing the stats of your friends who got denied? I have been trying to figure out the cutoff scores for previous years but I could not find anything!

I'm not quite sure what my friends' stats were but one said she was a little bit below me and the other had around a 3.6 GPA, 70 TEAS, and 3.8 cumulative.

I feel like it may be in the mid to high 50s for cutoff. I've called to see what was going on with my application cause mine is still pending. The lady said they are still reviewing applicant and we should hear back before May 1st.

Ohhh I know why your friends got denied! On their website, the SON clearly stated that applicants must score 80% on the TEAS in order to be considered. So anything below 80 on the TEAS will automatically disqualify you.

yeah! both of them just applied to see if they would have a chance.

tbh, i was surprised that i didn't get a rejection as well! i don't feel too competitive since my points aren't within the 60s like many of you

Have you guys received a request to submit your transcripts and TEAS scores??? I haven't and I tried calling today.

I called the SON first and told them my situation but they said I have to call admissions first.

So i called admissions and she said she's not sure what's going on but she's going to take a look and give me a call back.

Can any of you guys call and see if we got the same info???

I have no idea. I was at work, so I couldn't speak to them, but I will call back tomorrow and see what they say.

She said it looks like I have been waitlisted, and that the SON does not handle admitting students, it's all through the university. So I'm confused about that...

I applied to CSULB, CSULA, LA county, and SDSU.

in the past SON did admissions. This year you have to be accepted first to the university in order to be accepted into the program so I think the people who got denied was bc they were not admitted to the school. Last year students didn't hear back until May 4th so we prob won't be hearing a few weeks. Also I heard the other majors who are transfers with AA-T won't being hearing back till early April-- so admissions is still working on everything
