Sep 25, 201510 yr Admin My facility hasn't done a darn thing for ST week for the last couple of years. Kind of despicable, but also the norm as all of the other recognition weeks have been scaled way down. Seems like we've been left on our own to recognize those we work with.

Seems like we've been left on our own to recognize those we work with.Ours doesn't either so a bunch of us nurses ended up doing something for them this week. Also, a few of our doctors went in together and bought lunch one day. It really is sad they aren't recognized.
Oct 1, 201510 yr Thank you for posting this! I have been a Surgical Technologist for almost 15 years, and I am currently in school for my Bachelor's in Nursing. From being on both sides of the OR 'fence'...gratitude is always appreciated!

From being on both sides of the OR 'fence'...gratitude is always appreciated!I understand. I scrubbed for 6 years before going back to nursing school. It always bothered me that our hospital didn't recognize the scrub techs and just lumped them in with nurses week. Good luck with school!!
