so I work in ICU. They make us put on disposable bouffant caps during procedures. Ive never worked in another ICU but does anyone wear their own scrub/surgical cap to negate wearing those hideous disposable ones?

I have only ever seen the disposable ones in ICU. One less thing to worry about maintaining. I make sure to push the front elastic up towards my hairline. If the elastic is low across my forehead, it leaves a red line that seems to take longer to fade the older I get.

I suppose you could get one but it seems a hassle to go get it when you a urgently prepping for a procedure.

I would double check policy before making any kind of monetary investment into cloth/reusable hats. They are 100% banned at my facility because people can't be trusted to be laundering them properly (if at all) and the facility does not provide laundry service for personal items like the cloth hats.
