I have been an LPN for 16 years; I have a very clear understanding of my scope of practice. I have been with this company for 1 year. In that time, there have been several instances that the physician and office manager have asked me to work outside of my scope, which I have refused. One issue that continues to come up if filling out FLMA paperwork. I understand that I can fill out the secretarial aspects of the paperwork, such as patient name, address, phone number, physician, name, phone number and address. The physician insists that I need to fill out the medical questions and all she has to do is sign the form. Please tell me if this is within my scope or not.
