which school should i consider for (CRNA).

I do not know if any data is available as to which schools offer the best quality of life and education. About half the programs offer an MSN, as opposed to a masters in something else (ex: biology.)

I am curently attending Northeastern University in Boston, Mass. I have been in the program for about a month. The quality if life is good and it seems like the classes "overlap" which helps in putting all of the material together. Bear in mind, however, you will be busy most of the time and you really should not work. Its a good life though, sleeping nights, studying with friends, going to the campus gym. Far better than working in Nursing...

I heard through the grapevine that a nearby school that offered an MS in biology and the same length (28 months) actually contained 3 months extra material. I don't know how true that is, but I would find out. You don't want to be doing extra work and stressing for no reason.

If you've got better than a 3.0, 1000 or higher on the GRE and 2+ years in the unit, there is a program out there for you. The seats are there. You just have to pursue it hard enough.

thanks for the reply...but my case is not GRE rather toefl...i just completed 60 college credits and am planning on transfering, but was wondering which school offer better opportunities and less expensive.

Really, you are going to have to dig in and research all the schools in your area. If location is not an issue then go to the AANA site (www.aana.com) and follow the education link. There you will be able to find a list of every accredited CRNA program in the country. You can then research those schools and figure which ones would be best for you.

I start CRNA school in Janurary, I have two friends in the same program right now. One of the reasons I chose this program was because it was more science based then some other courses, i.e. they removed some research classes and added science classes. Other reasons was from info I gathered from current students, such as availability of faculty, how they thought they were treated as students, their clinical design, teaching methods, etc. Other things yet was the relative distance from where I live, passing rate for the program (both from the program and boards), that the program was accredited, how long the program had been around.....

Hope some of this helps or gets you headed in the right direction.
