Scheduling Clinical Hours

Hi everyone!!! This is my first post on here so I'm not sure if I threw this post in the right section but I'm hoping to get as many responses as possible. So on to my original reason for posting: I'm applying to an ADN to MSN FNP online program with MCPHS, the program says that I'm responsible for scheduling my own clinical hours. If any of you have had to schedule your own clinical house before? How'd you do it? Did you just call around to different places around you and just ask "Hey I have to do my clinical hours can you help?" Did any of you work somewhere and just do your hours at your workplace? I'm assuming the school will help me or at least advise me on what to do. Any input is really appreciated!

First of all, you should ask the school of they are providing you with preceptors. Scheduling your hours depend on your preceptor's schedule. So you may wanna clarify that information.

Clinical time is scheduled around your preceptor's availability. I just told them I was available M-F at their convenience, indicated the number of clinical hours required by my program and thanked them for agreeing to be my preceptor. Good luck. Finding a clinical placement can be quite difficult.
