when to schedule the NCLEX

I have not gotten my ATT yet, I just sent in all my paperwork to the BON, my question is how soon after I get my ATT should I schedule my exam? Some say to take the NCLEX as soon as possible because everything should still be fresh in your mind from school, other say wait untill you feel ready....but does anyone ever really feel ready? Just want your thoughts and opinions, Im feeling very indecisive!:uhoh3:

Most people schedule from three weeks to three months out. Think about how ready you are and how long it will realistically take for you to finish getting ready and allow yourself sufficient time. Good luck.

you should take the nclex as soon as possible because the info is still fresh in your mind.

remember though that when you get your att and try to schedule through pearsonvue, you may not get an open date until one month later. that's what happened to me. i got my att on 9/23/10 and did not have a date until october 25 so i took it and checked the website daily until a date opened on october 4th which i took and voila i am now an rn.

also, did you pay pearsonvue yet? because the att will come from pearson.

good luck,
