Scared of Getting Shots

I have a physical tomorrow morning and i'm looking at the form and it says : The following immunizations require a vaccine date or a blood titer drawn to verify immunity: mmr, polio, and tetorifice... For the life of me I cannot remember when the last time it was that I had this done.. I was a young girl. or mabye high school. I have a feeling its going to be rough trying to find the records of it.. Not sure what to do. I don't know how long these tests are good for. The good news though ,is I have current TB shots done.. Any help would be great?

You can find records wherever the shots were given, like the health department. Worst case scenerio just let them give them again then keep the record this time. This may sound stupid and excessive, but every job I get I always get the Hep B vac. because it is offered for free... just because its funny.

The last two shots I got were both IM and I didn't feel a thing. Just think about something that ****** you off and you won't be focused on the shot.

I got a tetorifice shot during my last physical. And the nurse offered it to me and all I can think of is the episode during Friends when Chandler walks out of his room and scrapes his arm against Joey's Homemade Entertainment system that takes up the entire half of the room. And the look on his face was that it was so painful. He says, "I'm tired of getting a tetorifice shot everytime I get dressed." Honestly this kept me from getting a tetorifice shot. lol

But I think it was the nurse doing it was so good at giving shots .. I didn't feel a pinch.

If you can't remember your last tetorifice, they will want to give you that, at least. They may recommend the Tdap to give you coverage for pertussis. I had to get this for my masters program, and I did have a little immune response (chills, aches) for about a day afterward.

I refused the MMR, because I had a localized reaction the last time I had it and they just did a titer, which turned out fine.

I have learned to keep every immunization record for my self and kids in a safe place, but only after several frantic last minutes searches.

You already have your answer, if you don't have the dates you need to get titers drawn. I had to do this with school and it's not that hard. Just went to my PCP and he drew one tube of blood and a few days later I got the results. Having titers drawn is also nice because you see if you still have immunity or if you need a booster.
