Hello all,

I'm surprised this thread hasn’t been posted yet! This thread is meant to connect with students who have applied to SBVC. The application period ended about a week ago now. Who is waiting on a reply??

I'm gonna stay on per diem at my job. I work at LLUMC. If I have a couple hours here and there I'd like to make some extra cash. Especially summer:) We'll see how it goes though.

That’s true ? time will only show, and yes summer picking up shifts will be a great idea. Beside having a job while school I feel keeps you on tract. No time to waste.

I work on campus at the student success center I am a biology tutor, i’m not an LVN I am coming in straight into the RN program with no medical background

That’s good that your job is flexible 20 hours does not sound too bad I think when I first so I’m only gonna do 10 hours only because I want to get used to being in the program.

There are dozens of home health agencies in the area. I just wouldn’t do shift work. I do short visits for wound care, disease mgmt and med teaching, Caregiver teaching, etc.

We don’t need to bring anything to the orientation right?

No spoke to ****** last week she said just a notebook to take notes in. As for uniforms she said they give us about a week to pay for them. I had thought we had to pay for them on the spot ?

What company do you work for?? I need a new job.. I don’t think my job will let me do part time or per diem.

I figured it out thank you ?

On your guys' CastleBranch account under Clinical Requirements does it say Spring 2020? Mine says Fall 2016...just wondering if I set it up wrong.

Also, do you have any recommendations on where to buy the cargo pants from?
