SBVC Nursing Program Fall 2022

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone else is applying to the San Bernardino Valley College Nursing program for Fall 2022. The application period just opened up 03/15/22 so I want to use this as a tracking board for any updates about this program application period ?

The sooner they let us know then the sooner they will probably update the LVNs. I’m hoping we can get updates this week since our TEAS results were due today.

For the ADN program they said they would have a status update on the 17th. Our TEAS were supposed to be submitted today but since LVNs don’t have to take it maybe they will update everyone on the 17th? Sbvc has a thing for telling people last minute ?

@Applejax I had no idea that LVN-ADN applicants didn't take the TEAS! I though we did, cause all the other programs require it. So I hope we get results on the 17th!

Yes from what I’ve heard they aren’t required to. Are you applying for ADN? I just wanna see where other people are at my points are kinda low:/ after TEAS I’m at 75

@ApplejaxI applied to LVN to ADN program with 49 points without TEAS.

Hi everyone, I applied for Fall program as well. Kinda bummed last semester they rejected me for having less than 3.5 in the sciences, hoping I'll have better luck this semester! Best of luck to everyone!

Hi Araceli!

I hope so too! Are you doing the LVN-RN program? Or regular ADN? We’re all just waiting to hear something:)

I applied to the ADN/ Concurrent program with 49 points and haven’t heard back yet. Has anyone received a rejection email yet? When I applied I got an email back saying they would respond by the 11th of this month, which is today ? I’m just going to take it as a good sign and hope they’re getting to my application soon.

On their website now it says they're responding until the 17th. ?

I applied to both, haven't had much luck with SBVC unfortunately. I applied in Fall of 2019 and was an alternate, then re applied and the COVID happened. Re applied and was told my science GPA was too low LOL. Now I'm starting to look into other programs too.

That sucks with the timing of the pandemic and everything. Hopefully you get in this time! Did they take a really long time to get to second phase for everyone when you applied in previous semesters? It seems like some of the students that got to phase 2 already took their TEAS and just had to send it in.

I really only got through once when I was an alternate, and from taking the HESI until the notification of becoming an alternate was probably around 3 weeks.
