SBCC Spring 2020

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello everyone!

I was looking for a thread and didn't find one so thought I'd create one! I was wondering if anyone else applied for Santa Barbara City College's program and if so, with how many points? Just curious as we wait for decisions ?

Hey!

I applied. Can’t wait to find out the results. I had between 79-82 points. How about you?

I can't wait to hear back either! I'm so nervous. I applied with 75-80 points, so fingers crossed!

Hey guys,

I also applied. I was just checking on here to see if anyone had received responses yet. I'm glad I'm not the only one waiting! I think I applied with 80+ points, though I am entirely unsure. I applied to a lot of schools and didn't keep track of my points once I submitted.

I also applied to a lot of schools, the application process is so stressful!

But for SBCC we should be hearing back next week! What other schools did you apply to? :)

I applied at Butte, SBCC, Chico State so far. I am applying to American River, Hartnell, SF State, Fresno, Sac State, San Joaquin Delta, and San Joaquin Visalia (once they open apps). I almost applied to Shasta but I couldn't get my "quantitative titer" immunizations in time, I took the TEAS only like a day or two before Shasta apps closed so I was too crunched for that one. Any other schools I am missing?? LOL I am at the point where I will apply ANYWHERE. I live in Sacramento so I would really like to get into a school up here where my husband and our home is, but we are pretty much prepared for me to go anywhere.

Oh wow! That’s awesome that he’s so supportive. When do you hear from the other schools? Since SBCC responds much earlier than the schools that are closer to me in Orange County, I don’t really know what to do!

Most of the other schools don’t reply back until November/December. Butte replies Oct 10. I’m getting really anxious to get replies though! How long have you been applying/how many schools? This was my first round of apps. I think in total I have 12 schools I applied to (or plan to apply at) for spring 2020.

This is my second round of applications, I applied a year ago and got rejected so I spent the past year strengthening my application. For this round of applications, I applied/am applying to more schools! In total it will be about 9 or 10 schools.

It’s so stressful! Everyone else should be responding around November, it seems so far away

That’s great that you guys applied to so many schools. I was planning on it but then ended up only applying to SBCC. I got the email yesterday notifying me that I didn’t get in. Have you guys heard back yet?

Gahhhh. I didn’t get in either. But I’m terribly heartbroken. I don’t hate the idea of not having to move 1,000 miles away and pay my mortgage in Sac and rent in SB! ? Good luck you guys!!

I got my acceptance letter, but I'm waiting to hear back from other schools
