Hello All:

Long story, short: A co-worker who was prior enlisted Air Force is now almost finished with her BSN.

She wants to get back into the Air Force (Her DH is in the Army Nurse Corps) BUT she was told that the AF is phasing out Nurses?

Is this true? [bTW I didn't ask her if she went to a health care recruiter]

Thanks in advance,

No, it is not true.... There are a lot of changes going on to all branches with more of push for joint operations/joint bases. Just to illustrate my point I just got an email that the new Walter Reed/NNMC is going to be a DOD joint operations hospital open to all branches.

I expect eventually all military medicine will be combined under DOD, but I am not holding my breath for it to happen anytime soon.
