I think it helps but i do not use it as a primary source of information =) i continue to use the textbooks, and the free study guide...then i use the NCLEX book to give me the "flavor" of the questions and to help me with critical thinking (as its something you DO have to work on anyway)

i purchased my saunders nclex right after i took my chronicity exam, and i do wish that i had bought it prior. i think it is a great review tool, as tasha said. it does help to organize some of the info and good to reinforce key topics, but i feel the ec exams are way more in depth.

hi, i used saunders for some (very little) of the eces but i found out very quickly when i took the nclex on 12/20 that the saunders questions were alot easier than the actual nclex questions. i had read where a couple of people thought they were too easy, but there were so many positive reviews that i got it any way. i passed, but i wished i had gotten something different. just my 2cents.
you really thought the saunders questions were "easier" than the real NCLEX? I found that the NCLEX PN was easier than the review book in my opinion, i was hoping the same held true for the RN one as well...
I have been reading the NCLEX board and alot of members are saying that Saunders review book (not sure which edition people were talking about, as the one we have just came out in 10/2010) questions were alot easier than the acutal NCLEX, and that Kaplan (?) was comparable to the difficulty of the actual exam. I like the style of the way Saunders book is set up, so I am going to use it as an aide for the rest of my EC exams and get Kaplan when I start to prepare for NCLEX.
