Yes, dianah, I do feel very sorry for the dogs. WHY do people get dogs and then not engage with them? Yesterday the older dog briefly took hold of the hem of my jeans with its teeth, not wanting me to leave after I did a good scratching of it. I would actually love to be able to take that dog to have a good bath and then invite it inside to sit with it on a sofa and love on it. But for that dog, it probably wouldn't be enough, because it is so hungry for attention. The second dog is a large-boned mix of golden retriever and pitt. That is the one who had swelling d/t a tooth abcess. And they have several other dogs, I think, or at least one other one that isn't here. The saying "it's a dog's life" hasn't, in this case, got a good meaning behind it, not a positive one for either of these particular dogs! *sigh*

I have had my lunch, a second cup of coffee is in order, and then....who knows if I can summon up enough spit to do some more cleaning and straightening up in my room. I was thinking of going out, even just to sit in my car somewhere, maybe, like, the middle of a parking lot. Right now we have begun our daily thunderstorm. It's only 1 PM so hopefully I can figure out which way I want or need to turn, and the remainder of the afternoon will be a good'n.

Now 1:50PM and I don't feel like doing anything, because when I walked out to the kitchen and stepped to the side of Wolfie's full pee-pad, I actually stepped on a corner of it, and since it was full of pee, and some of the pee had gone under the pad, BOOM! Down I went, falling on my right elbow, shoulder blade, and right ischeum, and the back right side of my head skimmed the corner of a cardboard box. But at least I didn't fall INTO the pee. But my right side is aching, and I feel shaky; so, I have come back into my room to pout and rest.The only thing that is hurt, is my feelings, because nobody noticed the noise and "OOOFF!" I uttered when I fell. It took me a minute to figure the best way to get up, but I did it with a few grunts and sighs. I'm glad my bones are still flexible enough to not snap with the impact.

I looked at that pad earlier today and noticed it SHOULD have been picked up and thrown out, but did not do it myself. So, OH WELL!

More like, "If you see it, DO IT!" because I did walk past it several times without taking care of it. No, I am sore but not terribly hurt, but I do have a big, I mean BIG deep purple bruise on my hip!

Might go see The Oddessy tomorrow afternoon. J invited me to go with her and a student in her former art class, a woman from Ecuador. I was reading a bit on-line about how the director didn't cut any corners when making the film, no CGI's or anything. They built a 60 foot Cyclops and the scenes with that in it were only filmed by firelight! The actors were not allowed to have cellphones on site while filming, they had quite rigorous times throughout the shooting, wanting to make it seem like the real magilla; so the actors didn't have A/C dsg rooms or anything modern to make life more comfortable. YIKES! No wonder Matt Damon said it was the hardest movie to make, that he'd ever been in!
