SATA questions

I'm practicing SATA questions on my Saunders CD. I either missed one answer or added an extra answer.

Few days away from the nclex ... it's really discouraging :(

Just make sure you reviewing the rationale, knowledge is power, knowing your content is the most important thing. do you have Nclex 4000, it gives very good SATA questions,

All the best with you up coming EXAM

I was doing the same right before my nclex. I even did all 295 alternate format questions on the Saunders CD one day. I swear I only got 1/3 of them right! I was soooo worried about them on the nclex. I actually think the questions on the nclex weren't as difficult as the practice questions I had been doing. Usually you can rule out the incorrect answers pretty easily. I ended up getting somewhere between 15-20 SATA on my test (and I passed).

Good Luck!

I am a week away and I am in the same boat! I truly suck at SATA! I am going to do all the SATA on Saunders and the Kaplan Qbank. Good luck!

Thanks! I write every rationale down just so I don't forget the info! I use nclex 4000 from time to time, but I focused my studying with Saunders, Kaplan (strategy book, qbanks, & qtrainers), and LaCharity. Hope I'm doing the right thing lol.

SATA: select all that apply or applies. That means there are 1 or more correct answers and you need to select all the correct answers for full credit.

And yes, a SATA can have only 1 correct answer: it's not very common but it can and does happen. Most SATAs have at least 2 though; I think average is about 2-3. Some SATA will have all choices as being correct and you need to chose them all.

When tackling these questions, find all the correct answers--don't worry about how many you find at the end, just find them!

I like to break them down into individual True/False questions. It's easier for me to answer them that way.

Also, don't get hung up on the number of responses that you picked. I know I often thought "I've only chosen two, there must be another one." or "I've picked four, that's can't be right.." The fact is that there are SATAs that have one, two, three, four and five correct responses. So don't worry about how many you've chosen, just look at each response individually and decide.

Right on. Don't let anxiety get you tripped up. Answer each option individually. Trust your instincts. I also found that the questions on the actual NCLEX are not as difficult. No one's trying to trick you-- just testing what you know. Good luck on your test!
