SATA Questions

Is it just me or does this happen to everyone. When studying for SATA questions its either i get lucky and I get all of them right or miss it.

However, half of the time I either get below the correct answers or 1 choice above the correct answers. For example when there is 3 corrections, i either pick 2 or 4 answers.

Another frustration is getting 2 answers right but I pick a 3rd wrong answer. For example

correct answer is 1,2,4 ... but I sometimes pick 1,2,5

Is there anybody out there on the same boat as me? SATA Questions makes me :banghead:

I hated SATA in school as well. The HESI SATAs seemed to be the worst. Other than that we didn't have a lot of exposure to them. I found the NCLEX-RN SATAs to be really straight forward and easy though. Unless you simply didn't know the subject they were fine. If anything, I would question checking one or not checking one answer, but compared to all past non-NCLEX SATAs they were easy.

I had a lot of psych, neuro, education, and some peds on my NCLEX with SATAs. About 30 total with 75 question shut-off.

I also encounter the same problem w/ SATA questions. They say, you must treat each item just like a "True-or-False" question. We don't give up, just keep on practicing answering those type of questions, and read the rationales. ;)

hello kabayan can you give me idea how you practice SATA & dosage and calculation? i reaaly having hard time to study those.thanks

We were told to think of the sata Q like t/f Q. And that the q will always have more than 1 choice but never all 5 answers. As for calculations, google da calculations. It's super easy and will always get you the right answer. If u need help u can always msg me.

its always hard to answer SATA questions but i have noticed that, once i read a topic and fullly understand, iam more likely to answer the question right on SATA. its like right side and left side heart failure. it took me forever to get it but once i understood how blood flows in the heart, it is very easy to answer those questions for me now. i think the idea of knowing the why behide it helps me retain more information

There are good days where I get them all right, some days I get them wrong its because I study too long or its the end of the day. Maybe I will do SATA questions when my mind is still fresh before getting into studying/doing nclex questions.

I am definitely a morning person. I hope to take my NCLEX in the morning.
