san jac adn program spring 2017

Hello!

I have just applied and, I just wanted to know if anyone has also applied and what are your gpas and hesi scores? I am really nervous about not getting in. I am already using my fall semester to take extra classes for my gpa because I did not get into any BSN programs. Houston's BSN programs are really competitive so I understood why I could not get in but, I don't want to waste any more time. It really sucks when everyone is getting into programs while i'm just taking gpa boosters. My gpa is at a 2.8 and I got a 82 for my HESI score.

Thank you!

Hi ,this is my third time applying ...my first score were really bad .my second were actually pretty good that's what I thought . They were not enough I re took my hesi to aim for a 90 and still got the same scores...I have One A and all B's in pre reqs, hesi overall 86, gpa 2.8. I decided to give it one more try but also apply to the lvn at south campus...I am exited to start. ..good luck everyone

Are you only applying at san jac or multiple schools? I jad a girl in my a and p 2 class say that san jac turned her down for adn but she got accepted at utmb

No I really like San jac. ....so I am stick with them but the guy from the lvn campus at south was supwe nice very optimistic and told me that with my scores I was surely in....and I just want to start school time flies so I won't even know I ll be a nurse

Oh i see... well they say always apply to more than one school to better your chances

Yeah last semester I had mistakes as well I didn't average my gpa...and I added lec and labs....my score went down by alot....I have a 17:unsure:.....they told me that last semester they didn't even look at application's under 20..

So i emailed the coordinator and all she said is that the nursing committee will review my application and just remain hopeful and patient 😑

Yeah they probably won't be sending letters till October. ...it's the longest three months of your life lol

I'm so nervous, I hope I did the rubric section correctly. If not, then I hope they can email me so I can fix it.

They didn't tell me they fix it themselves ....but I went went to see why I don't get acepted and then I saw that they had marked the application

Did they say why you weren't accepted?

hopefully!!! If your gpa is higher now than the last time you should be fine. I took the hesi twice (north campuses hesi seemed easier to me) overall made a 93.4.
