Salary question...

Ok, I looked at other posts however they are years old...I interviewed for a position today @ a dialysis clinic in the Southeast..I don't have dialysis experience but I am not a new RN...I was told there is a salary calculator that the company uses to determine - based on your education, experience, etc. the rate of pay that is offered once the job is offered..I know from reading on here and other places dialysis nurses, by and large, don't make as much money as hospital nursing..I went to some of the salary calculator sites and get ranges from 29K/yr to over 100K/yr so I know both ends are way off...anyone willing to give me a salary range idea for a M-F dialysis RN position for someone w/no experience in dialysis but 20 yrs as an RN? I am hoping for this position but if the pay really is as low as 29K/yr - I can't do it:twocents:

What state do you live in?

I have always made more as a dialysis nurse than nurses in the hospital.

Check out http://www.salary.com and put dialysis nurse as the job title.

Great- thank you! I live in Georgia. I have no dialysis experience but I've been an RN a LONG time (20+ yrs), have my BSN so I'm hoping I am offered the position and at a decent rate...

I think the payscale in GA is approx $22/hr (new grad) to approx $32/hr (capped)

Thank you for responding..this makes me feel much better. I have no idea if I will get the position - was told I would hear this week...at least I know the rate won't be low..probably mid-20's for me which I can make work - I just hope I hear something soon...thanks again

What part of GA are you working in? If it's Atlanta you'll probably receive a little more, not sure how much. Good luck.

Hi :) Did you ever find a job in dialysis?
