Sacramento State Spring 2021

Published

Hey all! Wanted to start a new thread for the next round of Sac State nursing applications. Fall 2020 was full of unforeseen circumstances with COVID-19. I hope this is helpful for others as we figure out what is next for Spring 2021 and the application process.

Cheers to you all and best of luck! We've got this! ?

hi there! If Sac State took 80 students like usual, I would've been a competative alternate with 68 points. I know people that have gotten into the program with 68 points so I had strong, positive thoughts going into this round. My alternate # is such a laughable joke now since they changed it to top 40. ??I couldn't help but laugh but hey, it's a different world now with COVID-19. I'll reapply for Spring and perhaps retake my TEAS for a higher score (assuming people are allowed to take the TEAS before the application is due).

Hey there - I'm in the same boat and was the latter 40 who "would have" been accepted. I came in at #61. It's been a tough weekend to say the least knowing what could have been a celebratory moment after all this hard work. I sympathize with you immensely!

I'm trying to stay positive, roll with what life throws at me, and understand that we are not the only ones affected by COVID-19. My fingers are crossed an accommodation will be made for us in Spring 2021. Timing is everything and our time will soon come ? Hang in there and good luck prepping for the next round! We've got this!

Has anyone heard updates on the Spring application? Do you guys think they will admit 40 students again or 80? I plan to apply but I am a bit nervous about the competitiveness this term.

They recently sent an email saying that they are giving priority seats for the Spring 2021 semester to the 40 alternates who would have been accepted for Fall 2020.

That’s great! Do you know any details on how that will work and how many people they will admit for Spring? I am applying with 75 points but I am still super nervous.

I don't know how this will exactly affect Spring 2021 admissions, sorry!

Has anyone heard any updates on how many students will be giving priority for Spring 2021?

I understand 40 students were not accepted into the program for Fall 2020. I emailed the school and they were unable to provide me with details about how many students they will be accepting. So I am stressing about having an actual chance with Sac if they will only be accepting those who were denied for Fall 2020.

Please post any updates ?.

Also, does anyone know if they accept community wellness volunteering hours?

Hi everyone! I am applying for Spring 2021 also. I have a 4.0 GPA and I take the TEAS on 9/9, wish me luck!

Good luck! ? I know sac state is not doing testing right now due to COVID, so if you were taking it elsewhere you might need to e-mail them to make sure they are accepting the online proctored exams.

Hi There!

First time applicant to Sac State's Nursing program (previously graduated from Sac State with B.S. in Business Administration).  Just submitted my supplemental application today.

Stats:

Adjusted GPA 4.0/ Non-Adjusted 3.89

TEAS: 94%

Optional Criteria: 8 points (unless they allow me to take 4 for this section instead of 2, but doesn't look like I'll qualify because I am applying for second bachelor's even though all my prerequisites were completed at the community college)

Total Points: 72

I know it is a long shot for Spring 2021, but one can only hope.  All the other programs I was going to apply to have suspended applications at this time. Can anybody who fell between #41-80 for Fall 2020 confirm they've deferred you/guaranteed a spot to start Spring 2021?    Good Luck to everybody!
