RNC-MNN prep

I'm preparing to take my RNC-MNN next week. I've been using the Mometrix study guides and practice tests. I've also used the general guidelines that NCC sent me. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to prepare or any personal experiences? Thank you!

Just took my exam yesterday and looking for others experience as well! I've studied the mometrix book as well and still don't know how I feel after taking the exam. Maybe it's just my test anxiety but I'll be anxiously awaiting my results in the next week or 2

Didn't you get an immediate pass/fail? I did when I took the RNC-OB.

I did not get an immediate pass or fail. Does this mean I failed or is it different for every test?

They don't give the results immediately anymore. My pass result took a week. Rumor is that the results are usually posted the following Wednesday. Although I think the paper they gave me when I left my test said 7-21 days or something.

Awww, that sucks. I wonder why they changed it.

Hi there! Sorry I don't have an answer to your question, but I'm hoping I could ask you one. I'm a US pediatric RN transferring my license to the UK. I need to take the Children's nurse - RNC exam, but cannot find any study guidence beyond the NMC website. Does the Children's nurse - RNC exam include OB and NICU? What study guide would you recommend? Thanks so much!

Hello Jess,

I know this question was directed towards klone, but I can assist. :)

I used the Maternal Newborn Nursing Exam Study Guide 2023-2024 by Newstone Test Prep (it's a blue book with a sleeping baby on it).

I also used Practice Questions for RNC-MNN Review by Kellie Kainer of Nurse Builders and the study cards by Nurse Builders.

Best wishes to you!

I know this is over a year old but I was wondering how you did? I am set to take the exam this upcoming Friday and I have been studying via Mometrix as well. Thank you

I am not sure if this was directed to me or the original poster, but I passed the exam with the materials I posted up above. I feel like I have heard about Mometrix before, I hope it will be a good resource. Best wishes to you!
