RN student question

Hello, people! I'm in my 4th semester and I'm almost done.

On my school's handbook, it says academic dishonesty is defined by the faculty to include, among other items, cheating on examinations, using test banks, collusion, and plagiarism.

I failed once last year so I repeated a class again. If I fail again, I will get kicked out from the program. Since my original classmates are a semester above me, I asked them to help me out, so I received bunch of test banks. Also rationales from the previous exams they took (5th semester). However, beginning of this semester, someone told the instructor that test banks are going around in 4th semester. So my instructor stopped using questions from test bank and the test banks that I received are extremely useless.

Here is my question. Recently, I got caught having test banks even though my instructor stopped using it. Also another issue that I received from my instructor was I made a racist comments on my group students to my other nursing friends and I also got caught. I don't know who told my instructor but I don't think nursing school can't really prove it. Since my handbook says using test banks and collusion counts as academic dishonesty. Also on the ethical code for nursing student, I have to respect others. What's my chance to not to get expelled from nursing program? Should I hire an attorney? Lastly, if I get expelled from nursing program, what's my chance to get into other nursing school (RN program)?

    The odds of not getting expelled are not in your favor. You knew that test banks could get you expelled, but still used them and had them on you when you got caught.

    Should I hire an attorney?

    Why? You are guilty. How is an attorney going to help you. Administration is within their rights to expel you. It stated in your handbook that you could get expelled.

    Lastly, if I get expelled from nursing program, what's my chance to get into other nursing school (RN program)?

    It will be very difficult. Getting dismissed for failing out of school is difficult to get into another program, but you were (could be) dismissed for academic dishonesty.
