RN-MSN, MBA question

Hi fellow nurses,

I am currently enrolled in a MSN/MBA online program. I am also currently earning Lean Six Sigma certification (Green belt). I really want to move up the corporate ladder in a healthcare organization. I know this question is very subjective, but what is the best way to move up? My goal is CNO or higher.

Should I specialize in Healthcare Compliance?

What about the Director of Nursing route?

Any advice is much appreciated!

Thank you!

Moving up the ladder is a function of progressive promotion as well as academic preparation. What is the next step up in your organization? For example, in acute care nurses often start as charge nurses, then move on to management. Look for opportunity and let people know you're interested. Good luck!
