RN moving from CT to..

Published

Hey ladies and gents!

I'm an RN looking to do some traveling by mid to the end of March. I'm looking at east coast for now more in the Maryland to SC areas. Has anyone worked in Charleston SC? Trident Hospital? Looking for some feedback regarding area, safety and all that you can offer.

Thanks!

I have a friend that works in Charleston as a scrub tech and has worked at various facilities in the area. He really likes the area. In general working in surgery though is the same basically everywhere with few exceptions....

Few exceptions? Sure, except for the staff, managers, surgeons, services, supplies, instrument names, patient flow, EMR, culture, accent..... Pretty much all unique in different locations.

OR pulls similar personalities that actually stay working there no matter where you are. I've found them all very similar. I'm very laid back and easy going so I usually feel at home anywhere. Computers don't bother me so emr and equipment are quick learns, I've used most emr systems. I guess we all feel differently given a situation but this is how I feel about it in general.
