RN License

Hi,

I was wondering how long it takes (months) for recent ADN graduates, in Texas, to :

1. sit for the RN exam.

2. receive the RN licensure on successfully passing the exam.

It all depends on how quickly that your school processes the appropriate documents and gets them to the BON. You will then be permitted to sit for the NCLEX exam, in which ever location that you prefer.

How long does the Texas nursing board take to give the RN licensure once they receive the test results?

Once you take the NCLEX, you can get your results online for $ 7.50 thru the test administrator (Vue/Pearson) in 48 hours. Then the Texas BNE will post your license on the BNE website.."RN verification" (online) in about 4-5 days after the tests. Texas does process very fast, at least for me.
