I am 20 years old, due to graduate from my ADN RN program in June. When it comes down to it, I'd like to pursue research over bedside care. I realize that I need solid clinical experience in order to excel in research, so I understand that I'll need work experience in the field as well. Though I would like to get started, academically, as soon as possible. Does anyone know of any rn-bsn programs that aren't focused on getting degrees as quick as possible but have a research focus? Of course, getting it done quickly wouldn't hurt. Any recommendations at all would be great- online or in class- thanks!

BSN is generic in nature. Curriculum is (to a degree) prescribed by the BON. Specialization doesn't happen until you get to the MSN level.

My state school offers a BSN with a research distinction. The research is done over the summers though - so it's a traditional program in every other way. And the research program is very competitive. I'm at a "health science" school - so it's not just nursing but medicine, dental, laboratory science, etc.
That sounds great- what school is this?
