I applied late September. Do you know when we'll hear if we are accepted? I heard the first week of January but that seems late if classes start January 20. Any idea how many people applied? I noticed that the beginning classes have 90 openings, so I guess that is how many are accepted.
Good luck to everyone who applied!

I think they have an orientation in like the 2nd week of Jan. We pick our classes then. This is what I was told. Usually sometime after the 10th so yes it is a very fast turnaround to start classes.

Yes, I applied for spring '15 too! Hopefully we all meet at orientation!
I just received a letter from RIC saying my application was under review and we'd be notified the week of January 5th. The letter didn't mention an orientation session. It was a little confusing about how'd we find out about our schedule for next semester. Once part of the letter said we'd receive registration forms with the acceptance and later on it said we'd be registered for our courses by the SON and we'd receive the information in the acceptance letter. I assume that meant our schedule.
Yea I got the same confusing letter and asked my advisor about it. I have a meeting with her Friday and I will post back what she tells me on Friday.
Thanks hockey77. I'd appreciate hearing what she has to say. If there is an orientation, could you try to find out the date? I'll have to try to take off the day from work. I am a little concerned that I won't get enough notice if I get in to give a proper 2 weeks notice at my job. I hate to leave them short handed, but I work full time days so will have to quit to attend RIC.
Ok saw my advisor Friday. There is no orientation. Also if you get accepted they ask you your preference of schedule. They ask rate the class times you want from first to last. Then they pick your schedule for you while trying to accommodate your first preference.
So I guess its a crap shoot to see what schedule you actually end up with.
Thanks for the info. It sounds like a lot of work to do in just two weeks. I hope they tell us during the beginning of the week. Did she say when we'd get our schedule?
She said they are meeting on like Jan 3rd to make the decisions on who makes it. So sometime that week they will email us the info. I guess we find out our schedule a week or 2 after that??
Not sure but I do know she said they are meeting around the 3rd for making decision on who gets in.
Thanks. Good luck to you! Hopefully we'll both get in this semester.:)
