retrogression in this october again???

Published

i just saw the good news in july's visa bulletin. Congradulations to all of us!! I have a question to ask here. According to the hospital immigtration attorney, my petition I140 will file in early July. However, some people here said, the retrogression will come back in October. I have started worrying about my case already. I140 normally takes 3 months to approve. But if retrogression comes back at that time, I wonder what will happen to my case? Any comments??:uhoh3:

Your case will still continue to process but up to NVC only or after the approval notice was sent to you, what I mean to say is the NVC will just keep your file until the visa bulletin becomes current again, you won't receive request for visa fee bill, ds230....

people can say what ever they want to, the demand is always going to be higher and we are just going to have to wait and see. The US government will always limit amount of visas released.

Let's just enjoy the moment while the VB is current...try to do all the things you can, and just cross the bridge when we get there

any predictions when it will be current again if ever retro comes back october?

Hope everything goes fine while we're in this "window period"

Have you had I140 approval? If not then there is a possibility of you being affected if retrogression comes back in force as the service centres Nebraska and Texas take a few months with Nebraska taking the longest and over 6 months.

hi silverdragon102.

i did asked if they filled my I-140 they just said they will send my file in US and the international recruitment team will contact me.

this sounds like they haven't filled yet your I140. Like I said approval you are looking atleast 4 months or more before you get it and if retrogression reoccurs then you will be affected

if i get approval of I140 before retrogression occurs does it mean i will not be affected?

what happens once you get approval is it is sent to NVC and a file is made up there, then a visa fee is requested and request DS230 forms to be completed and sent once fee is paid. If you have a good lawyer the forms can be prepared before hand. Even if you get forms completed and to NVC there is no guarentee that you will not be affected. There was a few postings on her who was told their file was complete in September but did not get a visa, so very hard to say whether you will be affected or not
