Retake NCLEX RN

Help I just took my Nclex-RN today and I am almost 100% sure I failed. I got all 265 questions and by question 149 my brain was done. I'm so upset. I feel so embarrassed and upset at myself.

How long do you have to wait to retake it? What should I do different??

HELP!!!

:redpinkhe Hang in there, buddy! It seems huge now but your life is so much bigger than this one aspect. Just remain calm, breathe, keep telling yourself the above, and go treat yourself to something nice that you really enjoy. You deserve it.

Testing can be very stress-inducing. This too shall pass. You may even surprise yourself! Not sure how long you have to wait these days. It was only twice a year way back when. I think it's way sooner now.

First, I would like to say don't be too hard on yourself! After taking the NCLEX, I had the worst feeling in the world! Unfortunately, waiting for the results is the worst part of the experience. Second, I know of people in my class that took all 265 questions and still passed the exam. I also have a classmate that used all her exam time and passed. The moral of this story is don't beat yourself up...take the next two days and completely distract yourself until your results are available.

Wishing you much luck!!

Thanks .... I'm starting to feel a little better. Supposibly the trick to find out if you passed or not is by logging on the Pearson site. If it lets you schedule and pay for another exam then u failed. If you passed a block pops up saying you need to call the BON.... Guess who tried it??? Yup me and it let me register and pay as if i were going to take it again. All my classmates who have tried it have been right on. I guess that's why i say i failed.

don't you know how to "trick" the computer into telling you whether or not you passed?

log back in to pearson vue and go thru the registration process again. if it lets you go all the way to the payment screen...you DIDN'T pass. if it gives you some kind of error message that you need to contact someone for assistance...you PASSED.

Yes can u please help me...

Retake is about 45-90 days depending on the state, I failed the first time because I overstudied and exhausted myself..5-6 hours a day. I'm retaking in a week. Eek!

@cyram-What are you doing diff. Or what are you using to help u study?

2010icurn...Please any help would be appreciated.

Lots of nurses don't pass nclex the 1st time. It doesn't mean you're not a good nurse; just that you had a bad test. Hang in there, you'll do better the next time.

hi!i failed in my 3rd try too!we can do this!...push hard...study...study...study...

My situation is that I "was" a fallen Christian, not to force you into anything you don't have to. But I changed my studying planning to think of God for a minute everyday when I was up and say a short prayer. Thanking him for everything that was good or bad in my life because it my challenges that he was giving me.

But anywho study plan: wake up at 730 say a prayer in a very quiet environment, eat a high protein carb, start looking over the information that needs to be read thoroughly and then lunch time, the half of the day I either study for an hour or so that just needs reviewing like flashcards and then go outside to breath.

I have saunders 4th ed, exam cram (both question book and content book), lacharity. First time around I didn't have Lacharity or exam cram content book. Exam cram are really helping me to understand the content after I read the Saunders chapter correlating to the information in exam cram. Also LaCharity is helping with PDA (priority, delagation and assessment).

Also I said a prayer to:

But I am catholic so I say the rosary, novenas, anything I can get my hands on. I have been in prayer mode since I failed first time on Jan 27th 2011, now I am going to face the beast in 6 days! I feel calm every time I feel scared or nervous. My anxiety level has decreased a lot.

I also have been walking my dogs more often (a golden and a brittany). I have been doing the wii fit. Do what makes you happy and calm. It will make you feel good. :)

sorry for long post.
