Resume or CV

I apologize if this has been asked before, but I could not find an answer to this specific question. As a new grad with lots of other experience, should I use my 1 page resume or my almost 3 page CV when a job application asks for my resume?

Your cover letter shouldn't be so long!

You should use your cover letter when requesting an interview and then that's followed with your resume. Send your resume if it is just asking for a resume, however, if you can attach additional documents submit your cover letter there.

If any of these experiences readily translate I would incorporate it into my resume, and do what I could to keep it 1 page.

I don't generally think a portfolio is helpful for a new grad, but if you have a lot of other experience that is relevant, you might consider doing one. If not, just bring a copy of your CV to the interview.

Best wishes.

A CV is a curricula vital, not cover letter.
