my question is in the data analysis section am going to state that i will use SPSS, can the SPSS show what the percentage of the common learning style among each gender?

Good morning - can you please tell us what "SPSS" stands for? It will help to clarify your question. Thanks.

SPSS is computer software used in statistics for data analysis in quantitative research

That's fairly simple- SPSS should be able to do that.

cheers, i want to confirm that. because i was a bit confused with chai-square and SPSS

SPSS can be used to calculate the percentage by gender but how are you going to collect the data on learning style? Is it something the nursing department already collects or are you going to have to conduct a survey of 1st year students?

i am going to conduct a survey on 1st-yearstudents, and i am going to use the VARK questionnaire to identify the learning needs.

Keep in mind that your return on surveys is usually low so your "n" may not be sufficient to make many inferences.
