regular backpack or one with wheels

I was just wonder what kind of backpack everyone uses. I know it is probably a silly question but I don't want to carry heavy books on my back. I start school on the 18th of August. I just wonder what everyone think is the on with wheels best for nursing students. Thank to everyone that will apply.

Actually, I carried a shoulder pack, and left most of my books/supplies in my car. Our instructors were good about letting us know what books/supplies we needed the next day, and I would pack accordingly. I tend to be a minimalist, so less is more for me. It also helps me with organization. We had a student in class that carried everything she owned in 2 large totes, and was constantly digging through them trying to find what she needed at the moment. I started with the "wheeled" version of a back-pack, but quickly morphed into the shoulder bag. You'll figure out what works for you. A secret? I went through 4-5 different bags before I settled on one that worked for me. :chuckle

Yeah, I suppose it depends on your instructor. Through college I was able to use a shoulder bag... but since nursing school, they usually require that we bring most of our books... so I of course bought a rolling backpack. A good 90% of the nursing students at my school use rolling backpacks... Idk how the others w/ regular ones did it. Who cares if you look goofy, at least you won't be the one with a bad back in the long run (hopefully) :)

hi

I would not have survived without my jansport really cool black and white flowered backpack with wheels, my daughter (16) laughed at me but when everyone had there black and blue ones i had now problem finding mine in the pack at the fromt of the class when you had to take a test..still love it and i graduated almost 2 years ago, don't use it at work but for travel
