Can anyone recommend a good reference book to have in clinic for family medicine/primary care? I really need something good. Something that can give you good quick clinical guidance when needed?

I do have Epocrates, but just like to have my hands physically on things sometimes

I found the Current Medical Diagnosis and Treatment books to be very well written and helpful. I was in an acute care program, but I believe there is either a primary care edition, or the acute care is laid out very well.

This is the correct answer. It's a small little ring or spiral bound book that basically has a quick reference for every common primary care problem with name, stats, exams and tests/labs that should be completed, referrals sometimes needed, and treatment algorithms. Covers everything from back pain to headaches to UTIs and ear infections, even including which antibiotics to choose and dosing/length of time. It's small enough to carry around too.

Way too big for what the OP is suggesting. ( I have the same book)

Wow! This looks like the type of book I am looking for. I like the organization. It kind of is similar to "Current Medical Diagnosis and Treatment book"  Have you personally used it or do you currently use it now?

Good day! Oh do you think its to big in size? Does it help you alot in day to day clinic ?

Can someone advise on which one if choosing for this as a bigger reference book for in office. I will still get the smaller ones mentioned. I know they are similar, but which is preferred by you if you choose to respond.

Those are two very different books. One is a literal 2000ish page tome which I guarantee you won't use.

GET pocket medicine, literally every resident/med student uses it
