Reference Cards and Pocket Guides?

I was just accepted to nursing school to start this fall and could not be more excited! I have been reading up on every thread I can find to help me get prepared for nursing school, but have not found anything in regards to the pocket guides and reference cards you can find online.

I was hoping someone would be able to tell me if they believe these would be useful to a new nursing student like me! Here are 2 examples of what I am talking about on Amazon, although I know they can be found other places as well.

"Nursing Student Tool Kit" -

Amazon.com : Nursing Student Tool Box Gift for Nursing Students (Nursing Student Kit: 4 NCLEX Cheat Sheets, 2 Lab Cards, Drug Cards, Mnemonics, more) : Office Products

Badge Reference Cards -

Amazon.com: Complete Vertical Badge Card Reference Set Pocket ID Guide Graduation Gift Set: Health & Personal Care

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!!! I am already purchasing a medical terminology book to start studying because my school does not require a medical terminology class.

I actually ended up making my own lab card with what I needed. I laminated it with thick tape and kept it on me. The ones from amazon didn't quite work for me but some of my classmates did have those and they liked them. I did purchase a miniature drug book that fit in my uniform pocket to carry during clinicals. It comes in handy for a quick reference.

The most helpful badge reference card that I use is the Celsius to Fahrenheit conversion chart. Common lab values certainly would come in handy too. These are both items that you can make yourself and print at home.

Thanks so much for your advice! I have a laminator so I will definitely make my own to save some money!!
