Our upperclassmen told us that we should read, read, read. What do the RN's here think are good to read before school begins? I've heard anything, but if I am going to read something, I would like it to be nursing related. I don't have my books yet, or I would be hitting them now!
TIA

I'm not a nurse(yet) but I will be starting the BSN program next month. I've started looking through my textbooks already. Maybe you could read up on fundamentals, med term and dosage calculations.

I really love to find medically related articles online or at the library in journals and magazines. First of all, their interesting and may contain information you haven't heard about yet. Secondly, they have really awesome facts and you can use the information as a conversation starter with other nursing students!

Try finding something that will increase your reading and comprehension skills. Something like articles that have questions at the end.
The better your reading and comprehension skills, the easier you will find it to study for exams and the NCLEX.
You could also read up on test taking strategies. And get out a dictionary and read scholarly medical articles.
Its late, my grammar sucks.
