RCC Spring 2019

Hello all! I haven't seen a page for Spring 2019 hopefuls yet, so I'm creating this one. If anyone has any comments/concerns/questions please post!

To start: RCC is in the early stages of developing a concurrent BSN program starting estimated Fall 2019. From what I remember at the info session, it will be about $15k and done through either CSUF or CSUSB. They are hoping to have 50% concurrent enrollment initially, and 100% later on. They are supposed to be meeting later this year (October-ish) to discuss it. I'm excited to learn more! It's definitely worth keeping up on if any of you are interested in pursuing your BSN afterwards.

@sama34 I have a 3.6 science GPA so I'm anxiously waiting for the invite email to come in. I would go crazy if I had to wait almost 6 months to hear back from them. I'm already dying while having to wait 4-6 weeks for the TEAS invite. I've been studying my butt off for it so I'm praying to get a decent score on it. And thank you @morganashley for clearing that up.

I believe we should start posting points to see how the application pool is looking.

72 points with TEAS

73 points over here! I believe the cut-off last semester was 68 or 69 points. We'll see how our application period turns out!

Hello,

I applied for Spring 2019 as well, has anyone received an email to take the TEAS exam or have you guys just taken ahead of time?

I've personally have taken it beforehand

I took mine as well.

penanko and sama34 -

Thanks for the reply. Can I ask what you guys used to study for the TEAS? I have been using the mometrix book and the ati teas book. Have you guys tried taking the ati practice test? I have been studying here and there but I got burnt out from information overload so I stopped. I am planning on taking the exam in 2 weeks. Any study tips?

Don't stop.

Pay for ATI practice test A and B (worth it)

Smc_17: yesterday was the last day that they sent out the invites for the teas. I got mine at 5:01pm so all day I was thinking I wasn't going to get it. I'll post my points after I take the teas on Nov. 14th. I've personally been using the ATI study package and I love it!

I checked my RCC email today and I was invited to take the TEAS!

Did anyone else get an invite?

I already took the TEAS. I highly recommend the ATI study guide and the 2 practice tests! I also used the Kaplan study book and the ATI Teas app! I studied a little bit every day for about a month!

I applied with 73pts.

Wishing everyone the best of luck!

Penanko, FutureRN127,

Thank you for the information. I have been studying but just a mental block I guess. I am planning on taking the exam on the 9th so doing my best to not slack off. Good luck to everyone! Hopefully I will be in the 70's and that will be enough to gain entrance to the program.
